Poughkeepsie High School Student Receives Meeting Scholarship

😍We are so pleased to announce that our first Poughkeepsie Friends Quaker Meeting Scholarship recipient received her scholarship certificate at the Poughkeepsie High School Awards Ceremony!!!

💙Zoe was chosen by our PFM Scholarship Committee over ten strong applicants. She plans to attend Tennessee State University, a historically black university (HBCU). She is a very focused and compassionate young woman. Academically, Zoe carried a challenging course load, including two Advanced Placement courses and dual enrollment courses through Dutchess Community College. Her many extracurricular activities include participation on two varsity sports teams and membership in the National Honor Society and the Sigma Gamma Rho Rhoer Club, a community service and leadership club. Zoe has a strong connection to her family and her community. She works part-time, balancing two jobs with all her other worthwhile commitments.
